To receive a CNA license in the District of Columbia, you have to go through 120 hours of training programs to learn the nursing fundamentals. Students will receive a notification along with an application form in advance of the renewal of the license. Completing the form and depositing the renewal fee is necessary for further process. The new license will be issued within two weeks from the time of receipt of the application. If students fail to act in the allotted time, they have to take the CNA test again and pass it to obtain a new license.
